About Michelle

What would you like to know about me?  There’s so much I am still seeking to know.  The basics include I’m a thinker and I love to read.  I’ve studied criminal justice, managed risk, and overcome.  Not unlike so many others who begin with a disadvantage and my disadvantage is probably far less than most.  No mother to teach me, being told someone else was my mother, having my father be arrested for a violent crime are all part of the circumstances that shaped me and made me who I am today.

Of course, I’ve made my share of mistakes along the way.  Through it all though I’ve managed to grow.  I believe life is as beautiful.  I’ll always believe that.  That’s not to say that some things aren’t horrible but still for the most part life is something I treasure.  I’m so incredibly grateful to be on this planet and have the opportunity to learn.  I treasure moment.  I love being at the library and golden retrievers.

My heros are the people who value presence over presents but that doesn’t mean you can’t send me flowers.  I LOVE sports.  Baseball is my favorite game and I root for the Tigers. I also LOVE to write and perhaps more than anything in the world, I LOVE to teach.

I have a business that I work hard at which involves using Twitter to compliment sports talk radio and I’m a strategic interactive marketing consultant.  This blog is where I share my best work.  It’s where I post reflections in a manner that reveal my inner thoughts which very often involve viewing circumstances in a rear view mirror.  Hence, the name ‘Monday Morning Michelle’ …. You’ll find me on Twitter and Facebook.  If you do, reach out and share your thoughts.  I’m always interesting in learning and value perspectives other than my own.

Looking at life through a retrospective lens, with one eye on the future … the other on the past and both firmly planted in the present ~sxm

  1. We talked in twitter about having a conversation regarding Joe Paterno. Can you send me an email so we can do that?
