So I posted an article on Twitter earlier about how the athletic director at Baylor resigned “amid sexual assault scandal.”  Yes, I know it’s not exactly anything new.  Another college, another sexual assault scandal. What’s wrong with this picture?  One thing I find interesting is the myriad of allegations that make the news, which many times feature for calls for harsher penalties. Yet, is that really the answer?  Where does empathy come into the picture and how do we truly get to the core root of the problem?  What is it that causes people to act in a manner that violates boundaries?  Then again, is that what happened?  By now, those who have read about the scandal at Baylor might actually think they know what happened.  Oddly enough, the article I posted was mostly about the new football coach’s record and football.  What does that tell you?
